THE GIFT GOES ON

A gift or a present is the transfer of something, without the need for compensation.  A gift is a voluntary act which does not require anything in return. Even though it involves possibly a social expectation of reciprocity, or a return in the form of prestige or power, a gift is meant to be free.

If it wasn't for God's gifts to us, we wouldn't exist.  God has showered us with sunshine, air, an ecosystem, friendship, the Bible, talent, life, His love, mercy....Well, they just go on and on....  The gifts come from all directions and are needed desperately.  But, some are just added because of love, like flowers.

The Gift Goes On tries to impress the believer with God's love and purposes.  But, just to make it real, we demonstrate God's gifts with something you can take with you as a reminder. 

Sabbath afternoon at 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, we gather to focus on another gift from God.  You're getting gifts all the time.  Shouldn't you know how your life is affected?  Go on, enjoy them, they're free!
